Disillusioned for too long

There are times in life where what you anticipate being true or promising is not. It is hard to tell what "should be" and "shouldn't be". The greatest expectation that has disappointed me lately is the lack of mentors. It appears that people are too busy, too tired, too ignorant to gain an opportunity here. I can now say that after 3-4 years of searching I believe that I have found in an 84 year old gentleman the mentor I have been looking for. Where do we go with tough questions, things that are hard to talk about with family, spouse, friend, etc. How in the world can we learn from past experience when we have little to none of our own. Mentor, please mentor.
